This Friday, February 07, the sectoral vice-president for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, reaffirmed that the fight against corruption that the Bolivarian Revolution has always waged in all these years with Commander Hugo Chávez and President Nicolás Maduro continues.

“We have faced the monster of corruption from the inside with Commander Chávez, the Commander threw himself on himself, he said: 'Between a beginning and a friendship, I stick to a beginning', to a friend of his life who was Baduel (...) because he made a disaster and stole what could and could not be stolen,” he said during his Podcast Without Truco ni Maña, referring to the fact that the Commander did not fail in his duty to the People despite the human pain he had.

He emphasized that under President Maduro the fight against corruption has been just as forceful. “Whoever is doubting that at this point has major perceptual problems or has bad intentions,” he said.

He recalled that during the governments of the Fourth Republic, quite the opposite happened, because people reported acts of corruption, theft and more, but nothing happened.

“They stole, they distributed the country and nothing happened, the only one they put in prison here was a man of Chinese nationality for a few dollars from RECADI, the rest plus nothing; they reported and nothing ever happened,” he said.
