The Municipal Tourism Institute (IMTUR) and the Cultural Mission formalized a powerful inter-institutional synergy to promote enjoyment and national identity in the heart of the capital of Caracas, through the cultural project Las Noches de Centro.

This alliance, which integrates the community talent of the Cultural Mission, seeks to consolidate the Historic Center as an epicenter of encounter, healthy recreation and reaffirmation of Venezuelan roots, an action that responds directly to the policies of the Mayor's Office of Caracas for the recovery of public spaces and tourism promotion.

In the emblematic Esquina de San Jacinto, the nerve center of the Historic Center, the cultural festival continues on Friday, November 21, at 5:00pm, with the group Sowing Traditions and its contagious Guayanese joropo, to culminate on Thursday, November 27, with the unparalleled strength of Raza Parrandera, to bring the holiday anteroom to the maximum popular fervor.

The successful November program kicked off last Friday the 7th with an electrifying performance by the merenguera Mary Rodríguez and continued on Friday the 14th with the unmistakable sound of Tradición Gaitera.

For the president of the Municipal Tourism Institute of Caracas, Williams Rivas, “the Las Noches de Centro project has been a resounding success for the capital, consolidating our Historic Center as a safe and attractive destination. We are succeeding in providing the Venezuelan family with a healthy and fun entertainment space, fulfilling the goal of recovering the cultural nightlife of the center.”

“This action faithfully responds to the articulated work being carried out by the Mayor's Office of Caracas in conjunction with sister institutions such as Misión Cultura. When we join forces, we can offer high-quality events that promote local tourism, national talent and, above all, increase the pride of being from Caracas,” said Rivas.

For her part, the Deputy Minister of Culture, Karen Millán, commented that “for us, this articulation is the palpable demonstration that we are essentially a people of peace, which finds its engine in the deepest and most beautiful manifestations of popular joy. Art and culture are the lifeblood of Venezuelan identity, a vehicle of love and unity that we must celebrate.” This initiative, he said, highlights this season, which marks the arrival of the holiday season, the sharing and reunion between friends and family.

“It is essential to create these spaces of open culture so that our people embrace each other, enjoy their music and strengthen those community ties that define us so much.”
