In the elections of May 25, the Venezuelan people made history by electing a National Assembly committed to their interests and those of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, said the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.
In this regard, during the swearing in of the newly elected governor of the Portuguese state, Primitivo Cedeño, he recalled how the right wing used the parliament elected in 2015 as a mechanism to call for invasions against the country, hand over our resources to foreign powers and plan ways to give up our sovereignty to North American imperialism.
“This May 25, the people chose a National Assembly that does not lend itself, like the 2015 PAN, to plans against Venezuela. The AN of 2015 represented one of the most dangerous chapters in our history. It was an AN that planned and was used to hand over the assets of Venezuelans, the gold that was in England, to give away CITGO. Assets worth more than 11 billion dollars that they handed over to foreign countries and especially to their masters in the north, in Washington,” he said.
Rodríguez also called on the revolutionary forces to deploy so that on July 27, all the mayors of the country can be conquered. “We are going together to defend peace, to consolidate Popular Power, to defend peace, to work for economic peace and for the progress of our people,” he stressed.
