The first vice-president of the National Assembly (AN), Deputy Pedro Infante, reported that next Tuesday, September 10 and Wednesday, September 11, Venezuela will be the global epicenter of the debate and the fight against fascism, for peace and humanity.
In statements from the Federal Legislative Palace, he explained that the Legislative Branch hosted the “Preparatory Meeting for the organization of the National Anti-Fascist Front and the creation of the Committee for Victims of Fascism”, which included the participation of deputies, academics, representatives of social and political organizations, as well as community leaders.
He explained that it was a preparatory meeting to organize the aforementioned front “and defeat fascism”.
He stated that “first of all, it is a broad, inclusive front that has no political colors; a front that brings together everyone and that must be organized in states, municipalities, social fronts, workplaces”.
Second, Infante stressed that the people of the town who “were concrete victims of acts of violence, threats, persecution and some even kidnapping, on July 28; 29 and 30, can be part of what should be the Committee for Victims of Fascism.”
He explained that the committee will have state and even municipal chapters. “All those international guests should know what happened in Venezuela and we hope that they will hear testimonies from our people who were victims of fascism,” he stressed.
The activity was coordinated by the second vice-president of the AN, América Pérez, the deputy Tania Díaz, the vice-minister for Latin America, Rander Peña, the director of the Institute for Diplomatic Studies “Pedro Gual”, Pedro Sassone and the sectoral vice-president of Missions and Great Missions, Erika Farías.
