Next July 27 represents a great opportunity for the country's young people to participate, not only in the election of communal projects but in the selection of candidates for mayors and councilors, said the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón.
“The popular consultation and the election of mayors and councilors is a great opportunity. A large number of beautiful projects have emerged from the youth, they did an extraordinary job in the community,” he emphasized.
In the same way, he explained that for the electoral process of the coming 27-J they will be enabled 5,718 voting centers and 7,438 tables from the total number of centers. However, he stressed that, of the total number of tables, 200 will not be those authorized in electoral centers and will be used to receive the votes of the Popular Consultation.
On the other hand, he highlighted the leading participation of youth in the different instances of government and in decision-making. In this regard, he highlighted the large number of young people under 35 who were elected as deputies to the National Assembly.
“We have understood that there is a new era here. The elections are going to come together; imagine how many young people are going to be candidates for mayors or councilors,” he said.
