The director of the Scientific Police, C/G Douglas Rico, during his speech on the radio program CICPC Al Día, warned about the danger posed by the misuse of social networks (RRSS).

Rico explained that social networks “serve to keep us in constant information, but there are those who use them to misinform and harm (...) we see how unscrupulous people use these media to deceive girls and boys, wrap them up and bring them to a plane where they, without the greatest awareness they may have, carry out acts against good public order and the family.”

In this regard, he invited parents to supervise children and educate them with awareness to promote appropriate use, “we must be aware of what our children see, let's become aware”.

He also added that the Scientific and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC) has been doing a great job of dismantling groups of men and women who are dedicated to child pornography, “there are events in which our children are affected by these men and women, sexual predators.”
