This Sunday, February 9, the Educa Chess Open IRT Tournament will be held at the library facilities of the National Open University, Maracay headquarters.

This event will have the participation of 60 athletes in total, from the categories under 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 and 17; who will play under the Swiss system of 7 rounds with a pace of 15 minutes plus 10 seconds of increase per play, according to a press release from the Ministry of People's Power for Sports.

The main objective of this tournament is to expand the discipline, in addition to supporting the new generations of Venezuelan chess.
