Texas Rangers Major League Baseball team announced that Venezuelan Elvis Andrus will be inducted into the team's Hall of Fame.

According to information published by the club on its social networks, the Venezuelan will become the 27th member to join this prestigious group.

From his debut in 2009 until his departure from the Rangers after 15 years, the shortstop stood out both for his defensive ability and leadership on the field, leading the team in runs scored (893), hits (1,743) and stolen bases (305). In addition, he ranked first in doubles (303) and RBIs (636). He left his batting average at .274.

Andrus, who officially retired as a member of the Rangers on September 6, 2024, will be celebrated in a pre-game ceremony on Saturday, June 28, before the confrontation with the Seattle Mariners at Globe Life Field.
