Even the rain didn't stop them! Cojedeños actively mobilized to participate in the Grassroots Assemblies

Despite the rain, the town of Cojedeño actively mobilized to participate in the Grassroots Assemblies to nominate their candidates for mayors and municipal councils ahead of the elections of July 27, 2025.

From the Tinaquillo municipality, Delkis Rodríguez, one of the participants, thanked President Nicolás Maduro for taking into account the nominations from the ground up.

“The nomination of candidates from the grassroots is a demonstration that what is being experienced in Venezuela is a participatory and leading democracy,” he said.

Any Venezuelan over 15 years of age may participate in the assemblies and make their respective nominations.

More than 47,000 communities distributed in 335 municipalities in the country participate in these open and popular consultations.
