The Strategic Operational Commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CEOFANB), GJ Domingo Hernández Lárez, reported that a cryptocurrency center with 35 machines without permits or licenses was raided.
According to information issued by Hernández Larez, the incident occurred in the state of Guárico, where 30 extractors, three electric fans and two vehicles were also being held.
“In Venezuela, there is a legal framework that regulates virtual mining activities and the miner registration system,” the official said.
It was also known that these machines were confiscated, during the procedure that involved the participation of officials of the Public Ministry (MP).
Last week, in compliance with Operation Bolivarian Shield “Neblina 2024”, members of the FANB carried out patrols in the Caño Carmen sector of the Autana municipality, in the state of Amazonas, where they destroyed an illegal mining camp.
