Government of Anzoátegui announces the start of Carnival 2025 in Barcelona on February 28

In the Simón Bolívar municipality of the state of Anzoátegui, the
activities that have been prepared to celebrate the Barcelona Carnival 2025 will begin on the 28th of this month.
The festival in honor of King Momo I begins on February 28 , with the traditional parade of school troupes at 9 in the morning. Boys and girls from local schools will walk along 5 de Julio Boulevard to Libertadores Square. On the 28th, at 7 p.m., there will be the election of the queens of Carnival, Barcelona, San Celestino, Tourism, Sports and Culture, in a musical show that will feature the presentation of regional and national artists.
As a novelty this year, of 38
registered candidates, a selection of 20 candidates will be made with the vote of the people of
Barcelona through the Instagram account of the Municipal Tourism Corporation
Barcelona de Todos.
He explained
that the troupes, individual costumes, carousels and sambas will fill Barcelona's boulevard with
color and music, from the first Saturday to
Monday, March 3, starting at 4 in the afternoon.
