Government of Lara and CORPOELEC place transformers in vulnerable areas of Barquisimeto

The inhabitants of six populous communities in Barquisimeto, in Lara state, received eight new transformers to strengthen part of the local electrical system. These are the areas: Santo Domingo, Pueblo Nuevo, Buenos Aires, Trinitarias II in El Manzano and Venezuela Avenue with 35th Street.

So far this year, investment in public lighting works has allowed the installation of 76 transformers, for direct support to communities that have experienced problems, with the failure of the electrical service.

In addition, in view of the upcoming start of classes, local authorities initiated a special plan to serve education centers. In this regard, 574 lamps were delivered for the “Tamaca Bolívar Chávez” commune and the day will be extended over the next few days in joint work with CORPOELEC.
