The 0800 Nico Program will be activated in the coming days in the state of Sucre, whose central objective is to continue strengthening the emergency transfer service and primary health care in the eastern state.

The announcement was made by the governor of the entity, Gilberto Pinto, during the presentation of his annual government management report for 2024, where he explained that the program will have 20 ambulance units, 15 cars and 6 motorcycles fully equipped and equipped to ensure timely care for those in need.

“The person who is going to be there must have medical judgment to attend and according to the georeferential diagnosis to where the patient should be transferred,” he said.

He pointed out that the program will start from Cumaná and will later be activated in the city of Carúpano, which will allow him to serve the entire area of the Parian axis. “In the next few days we are going to start with this service. This will make it possible to decongest reference hospitals,” he said.

Pinto also reported that for this year 2025 they will promote a special asphalting plan in the Paria Axis, to specifically address agricultural and rural roads in this area of the state of Sucre.

He explained that during the year 2024 they managed to install about 60,000 tons of asphalt, which is why he reaffirmed the commitment to continue optimizing the entity's roads, with the purpose of continuing to guarantee roads under favorable conditions for drivers and bystanders.

He stressed that the Government of Sucre will assume the maintenance of the state's 11 landfills, with the objective of organizing these spaces and reducing the polluting effects of the environment.

He specified that the work will be carried out through the Autonomous Institute of Public Services (INASERVIP) and stressed that the action seeks to guarantee the reorganization and treatment of solid waste.
