The governor of the state of Carabobo, Rafael Lacava, inaugurated the “Dr. Omar Cohen” Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Service of the Dr. Enrique Tejera Hospital City, located south of Valencia.

According to information published on the web portal of a well-known national newspaper, the space was equipped with state-of-the-art machines, including a microsurgical microscope capable of reconstructing veins and arteries, as well as anesthetic machines for adults and pediatric patients.

“You know that all maxillofacial surgeries and all interventions related to this topic in private health centers are extremely expensive. Today, here in the Enrique Tejera Hospital City, we probably have the best maxillofacial service in the country,” he said.

It was known that the service will provide timely care to babies born with cleft lip and palate (cleft palate), to comply with the corresponding protocol that will allow them to undergo surgery after three months and then resolve the cleft palate.

The head of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Service, Dr. José Vladimir Golaszewski, added that this area will treat patients with different facial deformities, facial trauma, maxillofacial pathologies, cranio-encephalic deformities, among others.
