From Petare, in Miranda state, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, urged the United States government to deal with its serious internal problems and abandon its agenda of interference against the nations of the world.

“The United States intends to rule the world, but no one cares for the 40 million Americans who are homeless, no one attends to the millions of Americans who don't have a plate to eat every day, no one serves the millions of Americans who have no education for their children, no one cares for the more than 35 million Americans who have serious addiction problems with chemical and hard drugs,” he said.

During the swearing in of the Bolivarian Integral Base Committee (CBBI), the National President urged the U.S. administration to desist from its plans against Venezuela and respect the self-determination of the Venezuelan People.

“First save yourself in the United States because we will know and know what to do with our Venezuelan Homeland; to govern it from the People, with the People, for the People. As they said; we have moral, spiritual, political reason and we have historical reason because this nation of patriots and heroes,” he said.

He exalted the level of organization for defense that Venezuela has today. “I have to tell you that we also have the strength of the political force organized at the grassroots with the Bolivarian Militia deployed professionally, well armed with the Bolivarian National Armed Forces; reason and strength for a country that has been able to win its present, that has been able to win peace, and that, under any circumstance that touches us, will know how to win the battle for peace and the future,” he said.
