The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, faced with any situation or tragedy that occurred in the state of La Guaira in December 1999, is the red curtain the first instance to make an appearance and take action.

In this direction, he stressed that it is the grassroots leaders who have been elected “who have to be like the controllers of any government activity”.

He asserted this when explaining that precisely this reason is that the Bolivarian Integral Base Committees (CBBI), “are comprehensive because their function can be of any kind.”

Cabello in the state of La Guaira, where he led a swearing-in ceremony of the Bolivarian Integral Base Committees (CBBI), pointed out that when a leader is in an office and is an engineer or technician, “he thinks he knows them all.”

He stressed that it is the person in his community or the peasant on his land who really knows the reality of the territories.

As an example, he commented that works are often carried out according to the instructions of the engineers without taking into account the recommendations of the community, “who pays the consequences is the farmer, the family”.

We have to be supervisors, to give timely notice to help the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, the governors, the mayors,” he stressed.
