This Saturday, November 15, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, emphasized that the worst thing a leader can do is to isolate himself from the base of a party.

“The worst thing someone who believes they are a leader can do is to walk away and not listen to the people,” he said in the state of La Guaira, where he led a swearing-in ceremony of the Bolivarian Integral Base Committees (CBBI).

In that direction, he assured that on many occasions “forgive me for saying this, the officials who are around the bosses, there is nothing else that they love more than throwing balls at them. Those who help the bosses have to be critical, they have to come and tell the truth every day about what happens on the street.”

“It's the people who never lie,” he said.

Cabello recalled that Commander Hugo Chávez, in his five strategic lines of political action, proposes to move from the electoral machine to a party-movement that serves to meet the most heartfelt needs of the people.

At this point, he emphasized the need to review if this measure is being applied, “it's a little revised to see what is happening downstream.”
