Las Noches de Centro Project promotes cultural activities in the historic center of Caracas

This alliance seeks to consolidate the Historic Center as an epicenter of encounter

Through the cultural project Las Noches de Centro, the Municipal Tourism Institute (IMTUR) and the Cultural Mission promote cultural activities in the historic center of Caracas for the enjoyment of the people.

This alliance, which integrates the community talent of the Cultural Mission, seeks to consolidate the Historic Center as an epicenter of encounter, healthy recreation and reaffirmation of Venezuelan roots, an action that responds directly to the policies of the Mayor's Office of Caracas for the recovery of public spaces and tourism promotion.

In this sense, on the corner of San Jacinto, the cultural festival will arrive on Friday, November 21, at 5:00 p.m., with the group Sowing Traditions and its contagious Guayanese joropo, to culminate on Thursday, November 27, with the unparalleled strength of Raza Parrandera, to bring the holiday anteroom to the maximum popular fervor.

The president of IMTUR, Williams Rivas, stressed that “The Nights of the Center” have helped to consolidate a safe and attractive cultural circuit for families. In addition, he noted that this work responds to the goal of reactivating nightlife in downtown Caracas and strengthening local tourism through accessible and quality artistic proposals.

For her part, the Deputy Minister of Culture, Karen Millán, stated that the initiative reaffirms the festive and peaceful nature of the Venezuelan people, and stressed that art and culture continue to be engines of identity,

“It is essential to create these spaces of open culture so that our people embrace each other, enjoy their music and strengthen those community ties that define us so much,” he said.
