The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, announced the inauguration of the Santa Eduviges II Community House, a work that is part of the second phase of transformation of this sector that belongs to the Santa Rosalía parish.

“The Santa Eduviges II Community House is now a reality, and is part of the second phase of the transformation of this sector of the Santa Rosalía parish, as ordered by our president Delcy Rodríguez,” he said.

He explained that the space, where the Estrellas del Sur commune operates, will benefit 5,934 families with areas dedicated to the food house, grandparents' club, catechesis room and cutting and sewing room.

Meléndez highlighted that these environments were designed to strengthen community organization and social care.

The facility also includes a hairdressing and barbershop area, a children's playground and a biosaludable playground, as well as a sports court with security fences and paths.

All areas were equipped with the necessary equipment for their operation. “Now the community is going to enjoy, to create and to cultivate joy in the new installation,” said the mayor.
