Ministry of Health carried out vaccination day against Yellow Fever in Trujillo

More than 280 inhabitants of the Urdaneta municipality of Trujillo state were vaccinated against Yellow Fever during a day carried out by personnel from the Ministry of Health.
The vaccinators and nurses from the offices of La Mesa de Esnujaque, La Quebrada, Chiquiao, Villa Mercedes, El Horno and Jajó, applied all 281 doses to people between 1 and 60 years of age.
According to a press release from the Health portfolio, the day is part of the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI), whose objective is to achieve greater vaccination coverage in the population to reduce mortality and morbidity rates associated with preventable diseases, such as yellow fever.
