The Minister of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, Ricardo Molina, stated at COP30, during the Third High-Level Ministerial Dialogue on Climate Finance, that “for Venezuela, the only solution to the climate crisis is the beginning of countries with common but differentiated responsibilities.”
He stressed that the lack of funding from countries in the global north has limited the implementation of solutions in the most vulnerable countries, so he invited an open, sincere and constructive dialogue on this topic.
Molina pointed out that any effort related to climate finance must be unconditional, inclusive and must not become a mechanism for subjugating free and sovereign peoples.
He recalled that the environmental management of the Venezuelan State has been affected by the imposition of unilateral coercive measures. However, he stressed that, thanks to the efforts of the Government of President Nicolás Maduro, progress is being made to achieve the objectives and goals assumed in international agreements, with concrete actions such as the launch of the Great Mother Earth Venezuela Mission and the 6th Ecological Transformation.
