The Venezuelan Naibys Morillo set a new record at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, setting a 43.77 m mark in the launch of the F46 class javelin and, in this way, she won the gold medal in the competition.

The Venezuelan, who was the first paraathlete to qualify for Paris 2024, ranked at the top; Shahinakhon Yigitalieva from Uzbekistan, won the silver medal for her 43.12m mark, and the third place, to complete the podium, went to Hollie Arnold, from Great Britain, who received a bronze medal for her 40.59m mark.

In this way, Venezuela achieves its third gold metal, matching the Tokyo 2020 harvest. It is also the delegation's fifth medal, two of which are also equal to the number earned in the Japanese capital three years ago.
