National Disarmament Service has recovered more than 600 weapons in 2025

During 2024, 4,789 surveillance of emergency rooms were carried out in the national territory, Granado said.

A total of 654 weapons have been recovered so far in 2025, by the Public Security Agencies, said the director of Arms and Ammunition Control of the National Disarmament Service (SENADES), commissioner general Domingo Granado Alcalá.

On the Instagram account of the Minister of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, in which he points out that during the broadcast of the radio program “We Are Disarmament”, he also announced that during 2024, 4,789 inspections were carried out on the security rooms in the national territory, which verified the existence of 5,510 weapons.

Alcalá explained that SENADES has a multidisciplinary team in each state of the country, made up of the General Directorate of Weapons and Explosives of the Ministry of People's Power for Defense and prosecutors from the Public Ministry (MP), who cooperate in the verification of weapons in these guard rooms.

He highlighted the importance of these rooms and stressed that the objective is to provide peace of mind to communities through voluntary disarmament, as part of the preventive actions of the Great Quadrants of Peace Mission.
