More than 7 million people have been treated during the surgical days carried out by the National Government throughout the country during 2024, said the Deputy Minister of Integral Health, Yuliana Ramos.
“We have surgically treated more than 7 million people throughout the country in days so far in 2024. And we have almost 17 million in the hospital and outpatient network, he said in an interview with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV) reviewed by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN).
“It's a number that seems easy, but it requires a lot of work and dedication on the part of the health staff,” he said.
On the other hand, the deputy minister stressed that the health sector has been the most attacked since the beginning of the Bolivarian Revolution, through actions such as blackouts and guarimbas, which she described as regrettable because it harms the Venezuelan people themselves “but this has also strengthened us by providing timely answers,” she added.
In this regard, he pointed out that among the actions that have been strengthened is the care offered by the People's Power to health centers; and the preparation with power plants, as well as having the supplies at the right time to combat irregularities.
Ramos stressed that with 1×10 as State policy, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, called for deepening and reviewing his actions.
In this regard, he stressed that the main requests through 1×10 are surgical interventions and the rehabilitation of health centers. “We have been responding, it's a hard job, we have an active national surgical plan, however, we have been making progress in each of the states with these low, medium and high complexity interventions.”
