The state of Nueva Esparta began the process of nominating candidates for the next municipal elections, with the holding of community assemblies that have had wide citizen participation. In the Arismendi municipality, the day was held with total success, highlighting the attendance of 120 people, including young people and adults, who expressed their commitment to the development of their communities.

During the activity, nine candidates ran for mayor and 51 candidates for municipal councils, demonstrating the interest of citizens in building a solid and participatory future. The assembly was led by Yannelis Romero Moreno, head of the local organization, who led the process with transparency and organization, ensuring that each applicant met the established criteria.

The event had an atmosphere of harmony and active participation, reflecting the community's support for emerging leaders. In addition, the work of several candidates who have worked within and those who seek re-election to continue with their development projects was recognized.

From her youth, Missca Peter, a member of the San Martín de Porres community, expressed her satisfaction with the transparency of the process and called on young people in the municipality to participate in the elections on July 27. “We have a great opportunity to vote for the projects we want for our community, in areas such as culture and sports, which are essential for our growth,” he said.

In this regard, the participants highlighted the importance of these applications as a way to improve infrastructure and services, such as water supply and public lighting, in addition to strengthening the presence of young people in decision-making.
