This Monday, Kim Jong-un, the top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), supervised a nuclear counterattack drill with multiple rocket units aimed at strengthening the capacity of the Asian nation's nuclear force.

In this regard, through an official statement from the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the drill was specifically designed to “demonstrate the reliability, superiority, power and diverse means of the DPRK's nuclear force and to reinforce the nuclear force both in quality and quantity.”

In addition, these practices are to give a clear warning to the most recent military confrontation between the United States and the Republic of South Korea, which carried out joint military exercises earlier this month.

During the drill, artillery units from multiple large rocket launchers from the DPRK fired salvos and the projectiles accurately hit the target island within a range of 352 kilometers, according to a Xinhua note.
