Popular Power! More than 2 thousand communities nominate their candidates in assemblies in Sucre

This Saturday, June 7, the People's Power of Sucre state met in consultative meetings to nominate its candidates for the electoral process on July 27.

According to information from the PSUV, Governor Jhoanna Carrillo Malavé reported that the meetings are taking place in an extraordinary and unprecedented way in the state's more than 2,000 communities.

He assured that this is a method of citizen application to elect candidates for mayors and municipal chambers.

“It's unprecedented, especially because it allows us to know many names of young women and men that the communities themselves consider to have the profile for this responsibility,” she said.

The people organized in each community today once again give an example to the world of participatory and proactive democracy that is being experienced in Venezuela.
