Portuguesa advances in the application process for mayoral and municipal council elections

In an environment of democratic participation, communities in the Portuguese state held the Nomination Assembly of candidates for mayors and Municipal Councils.
From the Juan Fernández León School, the representative of the entity's Community Council, Marco Tovar, highlighted the enthusiasm of the attendees: “The United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) is having a democratic party, where the people play the leading role in the selection of their representatives.”
During the day, five candidates ran for mayor and five for the municipal council, reflecting the citizen's commitment to local development.
For his part, Jesús Hernández highlighted the opening of the process: “Here there is freedom of expression for the application, starting with young people aged 15 and over and anyone who wants to participate.”
Grassroots meetings, held simultaneously in more than 47,000 communities in the country, allow for open and popular consultation, ensuring inclusion and unity in the selection of candidates [. This bottom-up nomination mechanism reinforces the role of the people in political decision-making.
The process will continue with the upload of data to the CC200 platform, ensuring transparency and compliance with established regulations.
