The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro during the Maduro+ program in his 97 broadcast, called for the establishment of a global movement for peace that would take the United States away from the waters of the Caribbean with its threats of war.

“The overwhelming majority of the American people are against a new war. He is against doing in Venezuela what has been done in countries like Vietnam, or Afghanistan. Our message reaches the rulers of the North, and it can also be seen in the expressions of demonstrators in the streets, saying: No to spilling more blood for oil,” he said.

The National President, regarding the song “A Chance for Peace” by the Beatles group, recalled as one of the great pacifist movements in history the one that was constituted against the Vietnam War, which came out to reject the military invasions of the United States and its allies in Asia, which cost the lives of more than 10 million Vietnamese and thousands of American soldiers.

“I ask the world for peace in Venezuela and that together we push away the drums of the war in the United States from the Caribbean,” said the president.
