President Maduro highlighted the participatory nature of municipal nominations

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the active participation of the People in the nomination of candidates for mayors and municipal councils, reaffirming their commitment to direct democracy.

“In Venezuela it's the people who rule! In # AsambleasDeBase, youth, grandmothers, grandparents, neighbors and neighbors joyfully apply for their candidates. This is our direct, participatory and leading #Democracia, an example for the world,” said the president through his Telegram account.

Maduro stressed that this exercise of participation reaffirms the country's commitment to leading democracy and popular power, strengthening the construction of a Venezuela with greater inclusion and citizen representation.
