At the swearing in of the elected governor of the state of Barinas, Adán Chávez, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured that the opposition right wing in elections “does not win or collect”.

The Head of State stated that “to be in the beautiful town of Barinas is to bring the presence of (Hugo) Chávez”.

He specified that “four years ago we experienced a fascist coup here. They poisoned us with intolerance and a desire for revenge and now Barinas has defeated that fascist electoral coup that they gave us and they have done it on the path of Christ and the path of truth, love and life (...) They are the darkness and we are the light, God with us”.

He added that when the right wing wins, the People lose. “When the right wing is emboldened, the people lose because they get into the madness of revenge. They neither win nor charge: don't be straws! We do win, we work and we rebuild. We win for peace and good.”
