The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, argued that Chavism is the Bolivarianism of the 21st century “we are building a great profound project in the Homeland”, referring to the formation of the Bolivarian Integral Base Committees (CBBI), at the national level.
In his program With Maduro+, in the 97th edition, he emphasized that it is the original Bolivarianism “of the catacombs of the People, profoundly Christian, because it goes to the root to build power. It's sad that a left-wing force rules four years and then a fascist comes along. That's sad.”
“I'm not talking about any country here, but it's sad that all the struggles of so many generations for someone to come to seize the Presidency and make the projects fail, because they adapt to the capitalist elites, they begin to make gestures to the imperialists of the world and they grasp the cowardly agendas of what some call progressive and they are not going to be built in the neighborhood, in the peasant settlement, in the factories, the university,” he lamented.
He argued that it is there in the territory where the Bolivarian Revolution is being built, “that's where we are, in the catacombs of the People, the great political school is in the community.”
In this context, he recalled that the PSUV offers free international courses in which those interested in receiving political training, “come and train with the people at the grassroots, join a commune and a Basic Bolivarian Committee to be taught ethics, morals, patriotism, courage, sacrifice, dedication and a revolutionary vision of life.”
