PSUV presented conclusions and proposals of the Plenary Assembly heading to the 27th (+ details)

After three days of debates, from February 4 to 6, this Thursday closed the Extraordinary Plenary of the V Congress of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and IV Congress of the JPSUV, heading to the legislative and regional elections on April 27.

In this regard, the first vice-president of the red awning, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, announced the conclusions and proposals that emerged from this exercise of internal democracy of the Party to define the method for selecting candidates from the revolutionary forces for the coming elections.

“The work we must do to have political teams at the level, of communal circuits and sectoral political teams of workers, peasants, women, and so on. But in addition, among the tasks of this congress was the revision of the organizational structure and forms of action of the great historical block,” he said.

The following are the conclusions of the Extraordinary Plenary of the V Congress of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela and the IV Congress of the JPSUV:

We and we, delegates of the V Congress of the PSUV and IV Congress of the JPSUV , as sons and daughters of Father Liberator Simon Bolivar and of the Supreme and Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez, convened in the city of Caracas on February 4, 5 and 6, 2025, under the leadership of the leader of victory, President Nicolás Maduro Moros, fundamental leader of our Bolivarian Revolution, having debated at working tables with the objective of preparing for the coming battles and victories in this year 2025, we raised the following to the National Political Directorate of our United Socialist Party Venezuela,

1. We reiterate our commitment and absolute loyalty to the historical legacy of Liberator Father Simon Bolivar and of the Supreme and Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez Frías, the fundamental basis of all the struggles undertaken by our Party.

2. We salute the popular victories won by the revolutionary forces under the leadership of President Nicolás Maduro Moros, who have guaranteed peace and stability in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, as well as the right of our people to sovereignty, self-determination, independence and social welfare. The victory over the fascist insurrection of 2024 has been crucial for this purpose.

3. We recognize the heroic effort of our people who, under the leadership of President Nicolás Maduro, have been advancing the process of political stability and national productive recovery, despite sustained aggressions by extremist sectors under the leadership of imperialism, expressed among other ways through criminal blockade and fascist violence.

4. We will continue to actively participate in the tasks for the defense of our Homeland under the principle of popular-military-police fusion as a key element in safeguarding national interests against local and foreign enemies of the People.

5. We are committed to continuing to work aligned with the Plan for the Homeland of the Seven Transformations guided by our president Nicolás Maduro, which serves as the basis and guide for the new historical cycle of the Bolivarian Revolution.

6. We highlight the strategic importance of moving forward in the construction of the Bolivarian historical project, of the new phase of transition to socialism, for which it is essential to sustain spaces of political power through the unity of the Venezuelan people, of the country's patriotic forces in permanent mobilization and assuming participatory and leading democracy as the center of our political effort.

7. We propose to activate communal political teams in this year 2025 as an instance to strengthen Popular Power that articulate the structures of the PSUV and JPSUV in each commune, with a unitary spirit to contribute decisively to the consolidation of revolutionary, participatory and leading democracy.

8. In this new cycle, we assume the task of the sectoral organization of workers, peasants, fishermen, professionals and technicians, among others. Incorporating the same attention to the different collective movements and social organizations that must shape the formation of the new historical block.

9. We are committed to building the Great Bolivarian and Chavista Historical Bloc of the 21st century as a central task to continue incorporating all the patriotic sectors that defend national independence and the country's development.

10. We approved the proposal presented by the National Directorate of the PSUV, in accordance with article 6 of the party's statutes and its methods of internal democracy, which combines bottom-up and intermediate consultation for the selection of candidates and candidates of the party to win the elections to be held on April 27, 2025, of the 24 governorates and state legislative councils, in addition to the 277 deputies and deputies to the National Assembly.

Proposals

A. Nomination through grassroots meetings, with the dates proposed according to the electoral schedule: Option 1, Saturday, February 15 and Sunday, February 16. Option 2, Saturday, February 22 and Sunday, February 23.

B. Surveys and measurement methods.

C. Evaluation of criteria through a scale to be determined by the Party's National Leadership.

11. We propose to submit to the National Directorate of the PSUV the naming proposals resulting from the above-mentioned mechanisms so that through them the candidates and candidates for the elections of governorates, National Assembly and legislative councils to be held this April 27, 2025, with the final power of President Nicolás Maduro and the high political leadership of the revolution, the decision of who will assume the candidacies of the forces revolutionaries, committing ourselves to unity and absolute loyalty to achieve a new great patriotic victory.

In perfect revolutionary unity, we will achieve popular victory in the next electoral processes and we will make progress in strengthening our United Socialist Party of Venezuela.

With Bolívar, Chávez and Nicolás, we will win!
