Third meeting of knowledge, sounds and flavors begins this Tuesday at the IAEM

This Tuesday, June 10
, in the spaces of the Institute for Performing and
Musical Arts (IAEM), the third meeting of knowledge, sounds and
flavors will begin: The Feast of the Saints, which will run until June 26.
The
meeting will bring together cultivators from different regions of the country, who
will share their knowledge about the songs, touches, dances and flavors that
characterize the celebrations of the saints in Venezuela. In addition, it
will become an enriching space for the exchange of knowledge and
experiences around the country's deep-rooted traditional manifestations.
The
program includes conferences, exhibitions and workshops, as well as
the screening of audiovisuals on the festivities of San Antonio, San
Juan and San Pedro, thanks to the support
of the National Cinemateca Foundation.
On Tuesday 10th and Thursday 12th, the event celebrates
Tamunangue, the vibrant San Antonio Festival in Lara state. Then on Tuesday
17th, attention is shifted to the Kimbanganos of San Rafael de Orituco and Lezama de Orituc or, in the state
of Guárico.
On
Friday 20th, the celebration of Saint John of Tony in Guatire, Miranda state,
takes center stage. Meanwhile, on Thursday 26th, the meeting culminates with the
songs and touches of San Pedro de Sarria, an emblematic demonstration in Caracas.
All of the above activities will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in
the Hugo Chávez strategic room, 16th floor of the IAEM and in the Viva Venezuela room, 17th
floor of the IAEM.
