The Venezuelan Volleyball Federation (FVV) will hold the men's Under-19 National Championship in the state of Carabobo, from June 8 to 14.

The objective of this championship will be to attract new talent for the national shortlist, according to the Ministry of Sports press.

The event will be held at the volleyball gyms of the Batalla de Carabobo Sports Complex, located in La Isabelica, and Loma Linda, in Guacara, with the participation of 308 athletes from different states of the country.

The evaluation of the athletes will be carried out by a technical committee headed by the coach of the minor categories, Iván Nieto, who stressed that the objective of the tournament is “to detect the volleyball players who will enter the second stage of the under-21 national shortlist”, who this year will represent us in the Lima-Ayacucho 2025 Bolivarian Games.

Nieto also specified that the conditions of the competition were announced by the Bolivarian Sports Organization on June 4th, when it was announced that the participants will be those born in 2005.

He also highlighted that the technical and tactical development of the different teams has been evaluated at the national level. “Meeting these objectives will allow us to close the evaluations and start working with a view to the South American Championship and the Bolivarian Games,” he added.
