Venezuela and Zimbabwe make progress in agreements reached by the Joint Commission

The Venezuelan ambassador to Zimbabwe, Magaly Henríquez, held a meeting with the foreign minister of that country, Amon Murwira, to specify actions to advance the agreements signed in the First Venezuela-Zimbabwe Joint Commission, held in Caracas in 2024.
Among the topics discussed by the diplomats, cooperation in strategic areas such as oil, mining, university education, agriculture and science and technology stood out.
In this regard, both delegations emphasized the importance of friendship and respect between peoples, as well as the need to continue the fight against the unilateral coercive measures imposed on their nations.
The Foreign Minister of Zimbabwe, as reported by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), expressed his commitment to continue strengthening cooperation with Venezuela and highlighted the relevance of the signed agreements for mutual development. On behalf of the people of Zimbabwe, he ratified his support and recognition for the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, when he was re-elected on July 28.
The Venezuelan ambassador, for her part, stressed that this meeting represents a firm step towards the consolidation of a strategic alliance, based on solidarity and respect for the sovereignty of both nations.
Finally, he indicated that both countries share the same anti-imperialist vision in defense of the self-determination of peoples.
