Venezuela is participating in the 28th edition of the Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair (EMITT), which is held from February 5 to 7, at the Tüyap Center located in Istanbul, Türkiye.
The Venezuelan delegation, led by the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez, is present at EMITT 2025 with an exhibition space that highlights the natural beauty and tourist potential of the Caribbean country. The Venezuelan exhibition area has audiovisual material, artisanal exhibitions and gastronomic tastings.
During the fair, Minister Gómez emphasized the importance of refuting negative perceptions of the Venezuelan nation, and positioning it as a safe, hospitable and megadiverse destination. “We are developing a strategy for positioning and promoting Venezuela internationally as a megadiverse, safe, hospitable and peaceful destination,” he said during his speech at the opening of the Fair.
In addition, Gómez plans to hold meetings with international tour operators, travel agencies and representatives of other companies in the sector, to strengthen strategic alliances that promote Venezuela as a first-class tourist destination. These meetings seek to increase the flow of foreign visitors and position the country in both emerging and traditional markets.
EMITT 2025 is an event recognized as one of the five most important tourist events in the world, which annually brings together more than 40,000 industry professionals and tourists in search of new destinations and opportunities.
