Venezuelan Ambassador met with her Palestinian counterpart in Senegal

The ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Senegal, Regzeida González, held a courtesy meeting with her counterpart from the State of Palestine, Nasser Jadallah, to discuss the bilateral relationship between the two nations.

González reiterated Venezuela's support for the Palestinian cause and other oppressed peoples of the world; he also stressed the need to respect human rights under all circumstances.

For his part, Ambassador Jadallah emphasized the terrible situation in his country and thanked the support and solidarity provided by Venezuela to his people.

In this regard, Ambassador González signed the Book of Condolences for the Palestinian Genocide, which to date around 40,800 people have lost their lives.

On April 27, 2009, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela recognized the State of Palestine and diplomatic relations were established, and since then they signed cooperation agreements in the fields of education, economy, trade, energy, agriculture, culture, tourism, communication, sports, defense, security and health.
